3 YEARS FULL ACCREDITATION STATUS
Gleneagles Hospital Penang was accredited by Joint Commission International (JCI) in November 2016. JCI accreditation is considered the gold standard in global healthcare. JCI recognises Gleneagles Hospital Penang with the Gold Seal of Approval for its international quality standards in patient care and organisation management. Today, we are in the second cycle of accreditation and have been granted three years of full accreditation status by JCI for 2019 – 2022.
Established in 1998, JCI is an affiliate of the world’s most trusted name in accreditation, The Joint Commission. Their standards represent a worldwide consensus on quality patient care that reflects advanced healthcare practices and healthcare delivery trends that help organisations strive to attain the highest performance possible, improving patient outcomes and creating an environment for continuous improvement.

4 YEARS FULL ACCREDITATION STATUS
Gleneagles Hospital Penang is the first private hospital in Penang and in the Northern Region to be accorded with 3 Years Full Accreditation by The Malaysian Society for Quality in Health (MSQH) for 2002 – 2005.
Established in 1997, MSQH is recognised nationally and internationally as the leading Malaysian organisation that promotes and improves safety and quality in the provision of healthcare services in Malaysia. Today, we are in the sixth cycle of accreditation and have been granted four years of full accreditation status by MSQH for 2019 – 2023.

On the 26th of April 2019, Gleneagles Hospital Penang won three awards at the Global Health and Travel Awards 2019, cementing Gleneagles Penang as one of the top healthcare providers in Malaysia and in the Asia-Pacific region.

- Oncology Service Provider of the Year in Asia Pacific

This award symbolises the stellar achievement of Gleneagles Penang as one of the key healthcare providers in Malaysia. The Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Spirit Award was first launched in year 2010, in conjunction with the 100th anniversary of Kwong Wah Yit Poh, to recognise the outstanding achievements of organisations and individuals in various industries.
