Gastro (DM)
Hello, my name is Freddy from Indonesia. I have had diabetes mellitus for about 5-6 years and it has spread to liver cirrhosis. My vision is a bit blurry, my legs are often numb and wounds take a long time to heal. Please help me to be free from this disease.

Answer:

Hi,

Diabetes Mellitus does NOT cause liver cirrhosis - you likely have 2 different conditions. Diabetes can be easily controlled with proper diet, exercise and medications including oral and / or injections which are easy to take and monitor. The cirrhosis if correct has to be investigated separately by a Hepatologist (liver specialist) as there are many causes for this like alcohol or hepatitis. Please do not confuse the 2 diseases as both need separate investigations and treatment.

Thank you.
