GEORGE TOWN, April 28 – Penang Shine Like Stars Association proudly presents the premiere of “Ocean of Star,” a poignant monodrama shedding light on the journey of acceptance and resilience experienced by families with autistic children. Supported by Gleneagles Hospital Penang, this production aims to raise awareness and foster a more compassionate community. Directed by Penangite actor Lim Chia Chia and JL7 studio, “Ocean of Star” navigates the emotional landscape of a mother raising her autistic son, showcasing the challenges and triumphs with raw honesty.

Kathrine Koo, Chairman of Penang Shine Like Stars Association, expressed the hope that the production would inspire empathy and understanding, encouraging acceptance of differences within society. The association extends gratitude to their partners and sponsors, including Gleneagles Hospital Penang, emphasizing the importance of increasing awareness and fostering empathy towards families with autism.
