NUSAJAYA, 14th June – With a mission to provide safe, quick, and effective vaccination experience and in support of the National COVID-19 Immunisation Programme, Gleneagles Hospital Medini Johor is honored to be appointed as a Pusat Pemberian Vaksin Hospital Swasta (PPVHS) in the state-wide rollout. The hospital has officially started vaccinating the public beginning today to build herd immunity to fight against COVID-19.
“We’ve been making the preparation to become one of the vaccination centers since April 2021 and this very much-anticipated appointment from ProtectHealth allows us to help our nation as we build herd immunity to protect our loved ones, and the vulnerable ones – those who cannot be vaccinated.” said Dr. Kamal Amzan, Chief Executive Officer of Gleneagles Hospital Medini Johor.
Gleneagles Hospital Medini Johor is ramping-up its capacity and capability to manage 2000 vaccinations per month in the near future. This vaccination center will operate from 9.00am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday daily including public holiday.
“We are committed to support this National COVID-19 Immunisation Programme taking into account our proven track records in providing safe and excellent care. And it is important for all of us to adhere to all standard operating procedures (SOP) even after the vaccination and we would like to encourage everyone to be vaccinated” he added.
The public vaccination programme’s lead who is also the Director of Nursing, Madam Koon Lai Chew said, “Our team comprises of experienced and well-trained personnel to handle all category of patients and we will make sure that the journey in getting the vaccine is safe for everyone”.
The selection of recipients for this program and their dates to get vaccinated are facilitated by Ministry of Health (MoH) and registration via MySejahtera apps. Gleneagles Hospital Medini Johor is appointed to vaccinate senior citizen aged 60 years old and above and individuals with comorbidity.
