Ptosis
My son born in 2020, had ptosis since he was born, and in 2021 had a surgery. Now we see the eye doesn't have the same size. We want to know if something we can do about the size. Thank you

Answer:

Dear Sutanto,

We extend our sincere gratitude for choosing Gleneagles Hospital Malaysia for your healthcare requirements.

It is not uncommon for there to be changes in the eye's appearance after ptosis surgery. However, any noticeable difference in size or appearance should be evaluated by a specialist to determine the cause and the best course of action moving forward.

We highly recommend consulting an ophthalmologist who specializes in pediatric eye care for a thorough evaluation of your son's condition. The ophthalmologist will be able to assess the situation in detail, consider any underlying factors, and discuss possible treatment options to address the issue of the eye's size.

We will contact you to schedule an appointment.
