neck pain
Hi doctor, last year it was confirmed that I had an disc protrusion of the cerviceal intervertebral discs. The effect was 3 of my fingers (left hand) were numbed and has less feel. I did cervical percutaneous discectomy. After a year, I did feel improvement on my neck pain but my left index finger is still sometimes numbed and less feel. What is your advice to ovecome this?

Answer:

Hello,

1. Rest and posture: Avoid activities that worsen your symptoms and adopt a proper posture, especially when working or sitting for prolonged periods. Ensure your workstation is ergonomically designed.
2. Physical therapy: A referral to a physical therapist may be beneficial. They can guide you through specific exercises and techniques to strengthen the neck muscles, improve flexibility, and relieve pressure on the affected disc.

Thank you.
