Long time no play badminton, then yesterday suddenly go play, then today arm pain.

Answer:

Dear Sir/Madam,

We extend our sincere gratitude for choosing Gleneagles Hospital Malaysia for your healthcare requirements.

Thank you for reaching out to us regarding the arm pain you've experienced after playing badminton.

It sounds like you might be dealing with muscle strain or overuse, which can happen after resuming physical activities after a period of rest.

We recommend the following steps to manage the discomfort:

  1. Rest: Allow your arm to rest and avoid strenuous activity to prevent further strain.
  2. Ice Application: Apply an ice pack to the affected area for 15-20 minutes every 2-3 hours to reduce inflammation and pain.
  3. Gentle Stretching: Once the acute pain has subsided, you may gently stretch the muscles to improve mobility.

If the pain persists or worsens, we advise consulting a healthcare professional to rule out any serious injuries such as tendonitis, ligament sprain, or muscle tears.
