Joints pain and swelling worsen
Good day and hi,

For the last few months, I have started to feel discomfort in some parts of my right leg, especially the joints. It happened when I slipped down the stairs. At first it was just normal pain and the xray results also showed no fracture or no abnormality. But things changed a few months ago when pain began to be felt in the ankles (swelling), knees and hips. I went to the clinic and the doctor asked me to use Acustop Cataplasma to reduce the pain. However, I still feel pain after 4-5 hours (when the medicine on the plasters wears off). And now I have to use crutches because of the excruciating pain, sometimes.

I am obese, with a weight of 160kg and a height of 166cm and it worsened my condition. Around 2011, I fell and dislocated my hip ad got treatment from Pantai Hospital. The doctor once told me that when I reach the age of 40 plus (I'm 41 y/o) I will start to feel pain. Do I need to go for another xray? Or should plan to see an orthopedic specialist, since Gleneagles Hospital is near my house?. Working as a contract worker is quite difficult for me to take time off.

Answer:
Hello,

I'm sorry to hear about your discomfort. It's important to address any ongoing pain or discomfort, especially following an incident like slipping down the stairs. It's possible that the discomfort you're feeling in your right leg and joints could be related to that incident.

I recommend that you schedule an appointment with general practitioner or orthopedic specialist, for a thorough evaluation. They can assess the specific location of your discomfort, any limitations in movement, and possibly order imaging tests like X-rays or an MRI to help diagnose any potential injury or condition.
