If you are unable to undergo a full screening panel, we typically recommend starting with the most clinically significant and common infections:

• HIV 
• Syphilis 
• Chlamydia and Gonorrhea 

These infections are often asymptomatic in early stages but are important to detect and treat promptly.

2. Suggested Testing Timeline:
The accuracy of STD tests depends on the “window period” following exposure:

• HIV: Initial test at 2–4 weeks, with repeat at 6 weeks and 3 months for confirmation
• Syphilis: 3–6 weeks after exposure
• Chlamydia & Gonorrhea: 1–2 weeks after exposure

If your exposure was very recent, we may advise an initial baseline test followed by repeat testing at the appropriate intervals.
