Advice on Specialist
Hello, I have had pain in my calves when I walked and I have been short of breath. It turned out I needed stents and I got them in May in your hospital.
Recently, however, it has been getting worse with the pain in my calves and it is spreading to my legs and I cannot walk long distances. For a few days now, I have been feeling a tingling sensation all over my body, including my face and arms and the pain in my legs are getting worse. It feels like a light current is running through my body.
Which Specialist do I need to see? Thank you

Answer:

Hello,

This may indicate compromised blood flow to the legs and / or pinched nerves in the spine - the sequence is to see a Neurologist to rule out spine pinched nerves and also then do a arteriogram of the lower limbs to see the blood flow to the lower limbs.
