Trans-Thoracic Echocardiogram (TTE)

Trans-Thoracic Echocardiogram (TTE)

This procedure is safe and painless, used as a diagnostic technique which is non-invasive. Ultrasound (high frequency) waves are used to capture images of your heart including the valves and heart chambers. Your doctor will be able to see better and clearly to spot any abnormalities within the heart to examine the heart's pumping abilities.

Why do you need an Electrocardiogram (ECG)?

Your doctor will be able to check, assess, and monitor for any abnormalities within the heart based on the results from an Echocargiodram procedure. It's also vital for your doctor to see your heart's pumping abilities and valve function. An Echogram is able to aid in detecting for abnormalities, including tumours, fluids, a hole, heart murmurs, infection of the heart valves and infected heart muscle after a heart attack occurence.

An Echocardiogram can help to spot congenital heart disease that's present at birth and what would be the cause of a blood clot after a stroke.
