Greenlight Laser Therapy
Greenlight Laser Therapy is a minimally invasive surgery that is used to relieve the signs and symptoms that is affected by an enlarged prostate. This uses a small thin and flexible fibre that enters the urethra by using a cystoscopy. These fibres heat up through lasers to vaporize excess prostate tissue. This removes obstruction from the urethra and restores regular urine flow from the bladder.
Why do you need Greenlight Laser Therapy?
This procedure is often used to treat the signs and symptoms of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH), this is refers to the enlargement of the prostate. This gives way for urine to flow normally from the bladder, and it immediately relieves symptoms. Usually this would be performed on patients who stay the night at the hospital or as an outpatient procedure.
