Key milestone reached! Gleneagles Hospital Kota Kinabalu successfully performed the first off-pump Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG) Surgery in the private sector. Dr. Talal Reda Mahmoud, our Resident Cardiothoracic Surgeon performed the procedure on a 64-year-old male patient.

Also known as the "beating heart surgery", it is a medical procedure to improve blood flow to the heart. It may be needed when the arteries supplying blood to the heart, called coronary arteries, are narrowed or blocked.
