GLENEAGLES ON YOUR SIDE CONTEST - TERMS AND CONDITIONS (T&C)
Contest Period

The ‘Gleneagles On Your Side Contest’ is organized by IHH Healthcare (“the Company”) (which manages Gleneagles Hospitals in Malaysia), from 21 March 2022 (9am) to 24 April 2022 (11:59pm) (“Contest Period”).

The Company may at its sole and absolute discretion, extend, vary or end the Contest Period at any time without prior notice.

Eligibility
  • 1. 

    The Gleneagles On Your Side Contest is open to anyone residing in Malaysia, who are aged 18 and above, and are also following any of the 4 Gleneagles Hospitals Facebook and Instagram social media pages (“Participants”).

  • 2. 

    The Company’s employees and their immediate family members are encouraged to participate in the Gleneagles On Your Side Contest but are not eligible to win the contest prizes.

Contest Mechanics

  • ●  

    There is no limit to the number of Gleneagles On Your Side Contest entries from each Facebook or Instagram ID.

  • ●  

    Participants who do not fulfil any of the requirements/steps set above for the Gleneagles On Your Side Contest, will be automatically disqualified.

  • ●  

    Participants who have been announced the winner during the Gleneagles On Your Side Contest Period will not be eligible to win another prize.

  • ●  

    Only ONE (1) prize will be awarded to each winner.

  • ●  

    Facebook and Instagram Profile/Account of the participants must be set to ‘Public’ until the end of 24 April 2022 in order to qualify.

  • ●  

    By participating in the Gleneagles On Your Side Contest, the Participants are deemed to have read, understood and agreed to be bound by the Terms and Conditions stated herein and will abide by all decisions made by the Company.

    Prize images on all Communication materials are for illustration purposes only. The actual prizes may differ from the illustration

Judging Criteria
  • 1. 

    Entries will be shortlisted based on the following criteria:

    1. Photo or Video submitted must be creative, meaningful, original, shows effort and quality of the photo or video submitted will be part of the judging process.
    2. Caption must incorporate ‘On Your Side’ and creatively written with elements of originality.
    3. Entries must be related to the Gleneagles On Your Side Contest theme.
  • 2. 

    Three (3) entries that showcases creativity, originality, effort, quality and are related to the Gleneagles On Your Side Contest theme will be selected as the winners by the Company. (The Company has the authority to choose the winners based on Company’s sole discretion)

  • 3. 

    Decisions made by the Company in relation to any aspect of the Gleneagles On Your Side Contest shall be final and conclusive. Any subsequent correspondences, disputes, appeals or enquiries will not be entertained.

  • 4. 

    Prohibited content includes, but not limited to, contents which are listed below will be disqualified;

    1. Offensive to the online community, such as content that promotes racism, political or religious agendas, inflammatory religious content, violence, foul language, bigotry, hatred or physical harm of any kind against any group or individual;
    2. Pursues or advocates harassment of another person;
    3. Includes any information that the Participant knows is false or misleading, promotes illegal activities or conduct that is abusive, or is threatening, obscene, defamatory, or libelous;
    4. Constitutes or includes any illegal or unauthorized copy of another person's copyrighted or copyrightable work, including, but not limited to, pirated computer programs or links to them, information which circumvents manufacturer-installed copy-protect devices;
    5. Displays obscene, pornographic or sexually explicit material of any kind etc;
    6. Includes material that exploits people in a sexual or violent manner;
    7. Any negative elements that are not included or described in detail above.
Prize & Prize Redemption/winner selection and announcement
  • 1. 

    3 winners will be selected throughout the Gleneagles On Your Side Contest duration; 21 March – 24 April 2022.

  • 2. 

    Each winner will receive ONE (1) item of the prize for the particular week as listed below.

      ●  

      Week 1 : Three (3) units of Bose Home 300 Speaker (Built-in Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant)

    • ●  

      Week 2 : Three (3) units of Fossil Gen 6 Smartwatch

    • ●  

      Week 3 : Three (3) units of Huawei Nova 8

    • ●  

      Week 4 : Three (3) units of Panasonic Air Purifier F-VXK70A

  • 3.  

    Shortlisting of submissions for each week will be done every Sunday at 11.59pm and it will be selected from the pool of entry submission as per below flow:

      Winner from week 1 will be taken from the entry submission from 21 - 27 March (11.59pm)

    • ●  

      Winner from week 2 will be taken from the entry submission from 28 March - 3 April (11.59pm)

    • ●  

      Winner from week 3 will be taken from the entry submission from 4 - 10 April (11.59pm)

    • ●  

      Winner from week 4 will be taken from the entry submission from 11 - 17 April (11.59pm)

  • 4. 

    Winner announcement will be done every Wednesday on ‘Gleneagles On Your Side’ campaign website www.gleneagles.com.my/itrustgleneagles, on a weekly basis, as per the dates below:

      3x winners from Week 1 on 30 March 2022

    • ●  

      3x winners from Week 2 on 6 April 2022

    • ●  

      3x winners from Week 3 on 13 April 2022

    • ●  

      3x winners from Week 4 on 20 April 2022

  • 5. 

    Upon winner announcement, winners are required to email Full Name, IC Number, Full Address and Contact details to [email protected] for prize redemption.

  • 6. 

    Winners who do not email the required details such as Full Name, IC Number, Full Address and Contact details to [email protected] for prize redemption within FIVE (5) working days, will be disqualified (winner will also be notified by the Gleneagles Hospitals team via private message on Facebook or direct message on Instagram during the Gleneagles On Your Side Contest Period).

  • 7. 

    In the event that a qualified winner does not email the required details or reply to Gleneagles Hospitals notification via private message on Facebook or direct message on Instagram within THREE (3) working days from the date of winner announcement on Gleneagles Hospitals Facebook, Instagram page and website – www.gleneagles.com.my/itrustgleneagles the Company reserves the right to disqualify his/her participation and the next qualified Participant will be selected.

  • 8. 

    For winners who are from outside of Selangor, the Prizes will be couriered to the winners, (courier charges will be borne by the Company) within Thirty (30) working days upon receiving their reply to Gleneagles Hospitals notification email via [email protected] or private message on Facebook or direct message on Instagram or winners can request for the prizes to be collected at preferred Hospital located near the winner’s residence/work location.

  • 9. 

    The Company shall reserves the right at its absolute discretion to substitute any of the prizes with an item of similar value at any time without prior notice, liability or compensation to any Participant or any other party.

  • 10. 

    The prize(s) is/are not exchangeable and/or transferable. Failure to accept the prize(s) by the winner(s) once informed by the Company when required to do so, shall constitute a rejection of the said prize(s) by such winner(s) and the Company reserves its rights to award the prize(s) to another winner(s).

  • 11. 

    The decisions made by the Company are final, binding and indisputable. Any form of disputes and/or complaints through any kind of medium will not be entertained.

  • 12. 

    The winner(s) hereby authorises the Company to disclose information relating to the address and contact details of the winner(s) to such other parties as the Company may engage for the purpose of delivery of the prize(s) to the winner. The delivery of the prize(s) shall be at the risk of the winner(s) (based on the details provided by such winner(s)) and should the Company require the winner(s) to collect the prize(s) at such time and place to be notified by the Company, the same shall be collected at the sole cost, expense and risk of the winner(s).

Other Conditions
  • 1. 

    By participating in the Gleneagles On Your Side Contest, the Participants are deemed to have read, understood and agreed to be bound by the Terms and Conditions stated herein and will abide by all decisions made by the Company.

  • 2. 

    By participating in the Gleneagles On Your Side Contest, the Participants are agreeing to the Company storing and using the Participants’ information as well as any images shared for any marketing purposes. The Company will not share the Participants’ information with third parties unless it is specifically agreed in writing by the Participants to share the said details. The Participants may inform the Company of their refusal to share their information and details at any time by emailing the Company at directly.

  • 3. 

    Participants shall assume full liability in the event of any injury, damage or claim resulting from participation in the Gleneagles On Your Side Contest and/or use and/or redemption of prize and/or infringement of third-party intellectual property rights.

  • 4. 

    The Company shall reserve the right to publish, use any of the Gleneagles On Your Side Contest entries received from the Participants as materials for the purposes of advertising and/or trade publicity, without any prior notice to the Participants and the Participants shall not be entitled to claim ownership or other forms of compensation on the materials. All Participants’ submission(s) shall become the property of the Company.

  • 5. 

    The Company reserves the right to remove any entries and disqualify any Participant if it has reasonable grounds to believe that the Participant has breached any of the Terms and Conditions of this Gleneagles On Your Side Contest.

  • 6. 

    The Company has the absolute discretion to change, delete or add to any of these Terms and Conditions and/or to terminate, suspend or cancel the Gleneagles On Your Side Contest at any time without prior notice. For the avoidance of doubt, termination, suspension or cancellation of the Contest shall not entitle any of the Participants or the winner to claim compensation against the Company for any and all losses or damages suffered or incurred by the Participants or the winner as a direct or indirect result of such act of termination, suspension or cancellation.

  • 7. 

    The Participants and/or winner(s) acknowledge, understand and agree that their details may be shared by the Company for the purposes of the Contest. Any Participants’ information or personal data (“Personal Data”) provided by the Participants to the Company in connection with the Gleneagles On Your Side Contest shall be kept confidential. The Company shall take all reasonable precautions to preserve the integrity and prevent any corruption or loss, damage or destruction of Participants’ Personal Data and shall at all times comply with the requirements of the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 and the Company’s Personal Data Protection Notice available at https://gleneagles.com.my/legal/pdpnotice

  • 8. 

    In the event of any complaints related to the Gleneagles On Your Side Contest, the Participants may contact the Company via private message on any Facebook page of any Gleneagles Hospitals in Malaysia Facebook or at [email protected]

  • 9. 

    The Company shall not be held liable or responsible for any delay and/or failure in the receipt of entries due to any internet service provider related issues; including but not limited to error in loading the web page, error in the web page system capturing the details submitted through the web page, missing submissions that are not accounted for at the point of judging and/or end of the Gleneagles On Your Side Contest period due to bad internet connection or web page glitch, etc. No proof of entries will be entertained.

  • 10. 

    The Company shall not be liable to any Participant or any other person for any failure to supply or provide the prizes due to reasons or circumstances beyond its control.

  • 11. 

    Company shall not be liable for any loss or damage of the prizes during delivery. The Company shall not be held liable or responsible for any damage and/or missing items of the prizes once they are delivered to and/or collected by the winners.

  • 12. 

    All personal information provided by the qualifying winners and winners will be kept confidential and will be used by the Company for the purposes of identity authentication and prize distribution only.

  • 13. 

    The Company shall not be held liable in any manner whatsoever to the Participants for any loss or damages howsoever arising from and/or in connection with the Gleneagles On Your Side Contest (including loss of opportunity and consequential loss following therefrom) and damage suffered in the event the winner cannot be reached. Furthermore, the Company shall not be liable for any default in respect of the Gleneagles On Your Side Contest due to any act of God, war, riot, strike, lockout, industrial action, fire, flood, drought, storm or any event beyond the reasonable control of the Company.

  • 14. 

    The Participants and/or the winners agree to participate in the Gleneagles On Your Side Contest are at their own risk. The Company and their affiliated partners will not be responsible or held liable, and the Participants and/or the winners agree to waive, release, absolve and discharge the Company and their affiliated partners from any and all liability, for any injury or death, disability, damage or loss of property, whether personal or otherwise, suffered or caused, howsoever during the participation, or after the participation in the Gleneagles On Your Side Contest.

  • 15. 

    The Participants and/or winners shall indemnify and hold harmless the Company and their affiliated partners from any and all liabilities or claims, actions, lawsuits, damages and judgement, including solicitor’s fees, arising out of or relating to the Participants’ and/or the winners’ participation in the Gleneagles On Your Side Contest, whether caused by the negligence of the Company and their affiliated partners or otherwise.
