Dr. See was a Sesquicentenary Scholar of Penang Free School and a Federal Scholar in Medicine at University of Malaya. He did his early training in medicine at Penang General Hospital where, with an early interest in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, he passed his Part One examination of the Royal College of Obstetrics & Gynaecology of London within 12 months after his housemanship. Due to a shortage of manpower at Penang General Hospital. He was posted to do Anaesthesiology for one year, during which he passed the Part One examination of the membership of the Royal College of Physicians of London.

Dr. See then applied and received his formative training in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at University of Malaya and thereafter at University College London, where he passed the final examination of the Royal College of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, London.

After one and a half years of working in London, Dr. See returned to Malaysia and re-joined the government service. He worked in Sabah where he was the acting State Obstetrician & Gynaecologist and then in Penang.

Dr. See was the first Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist at Lam Wah Ee Hospital where he did pioneering work in Gynaecological Oncology, Laparoscopic Gynaecology operations, and Infertility.
