There are many probable causes for Gastritis that includes:
- After surgery, burns or traumatic injury
- Excessive alcohol consumption
- Infection causes by Helicobacter Pylori (H. Pylori), a bacteria that is found in the lining of the stomach that can weaken protective coating resulting in the digestive juices that reaches the stomach lining
- Long-term use of non-steroidical anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID) such as aspirin and ibuprofen
- Stress and chronic vomiting (observed in bulimia cases)
